• Mesa County deputy shoots man in Grand Junction on Tuesday night

    A man was injured Tuesday night after a Mesa County deputy shot him while attempting to arrest him on a felony warrant.
    Deputies were trying to arrest the man at 2842 North Ave., which is the address of a fast food restaurant, when the shooting happened about 7:50 p.m. Tuesday, the Grand Junction Police Department said in a news release.
    UPDATE : 1 male subject transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. MCSO will be responsible for releasing the names of their involved personnel. No further threat to the community and North Avenue remains closed between 28 ¼ and 28 ½...
