• San Francisco man gets five years for possessing gun outside elementary school

    SAN FRANCISCO - A San Francisco resident was sentenced to five years in federal prison for possessing a gun outside of an elementary school, a crime for which his attorney says he feels “great remorse for his reckless behavior.”
    Brandon Paillet, 40, pleaded guilty to being a felon in possession of a firearm. The terms of his sentencing include being placed in a facility where he can receive drug addiction treatment. U.S. District Judge Susan Illston handed down the sentence, court records show.
